Comprehensive Eye Exams

Complete evaluation of your eye health and vision for optimal care

Your Foundation for Lifelong Eye Health

Regular comprehensive eye exams are essential for maintaining healthy vision and detecting potential eye problems before they become serious. At Bloom Family Eye Surgeons, our thorough examinations go beyond simple vision screening to provide a complete assessment of your eye health and visual function.

What is a Comprehensive Eye Exam?

A comprehensive eye exam is a thorough evaluation that includes tests to check your vision, examine the health of your eyes, and screen for eye diseases. Unlike basic vision screenings, our comprehensive exams use advanced diagnostic equipment to detect problems in their earliest stages when treatment is most effective.

What We Examine During Your Visit
  • Visual acuity testing - Measuring how clearly you see at various distances

  • Refraction assessment - Determining your exact prescription needs

  • Eye muscle function - Checking how well your eyes work together

  • Peripheral vision testing - Evaluating your side vision

  • Eye pressure measurement - Screening for glaucoma

  • Pupil response - Testing how your pupils react to light

  • Dilated fundus examination - Detailed view of your retina and optic nerve

  • Overall eye health assessment - Checking for signs of disease or injury

We use state-of-the-art equipment including digital retinal photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and automated visual field testing to provide the most accurate and comprehensive evaluation of your eye health.
