Jeffrey Bloom, D.O.

Dr. Bloom earned his undergraduate degree with honors from The Ohio State University before pursuing his medical education at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, he was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honor Society and recognized with the TOUCH Humanistic Award for his outstanding commitment to volunteerism and community service.


He went on to complete his internship at Mount Sinai in New York City, followed by residency training in ophthalmology at Kettering Health Network in Ohio, where he was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Bloom then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Retina Institute of California, training under nationally and internationally renowned retina specialists.


Dr. Bloom’s clinical interests include the management of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and ocular infections. He is actively engaged in research and has contributed to over 10 peer-reviewed publications, including original studies, major reviews, case reports, and book reviews.
